The 407 visa is a temporary visa that allows applicants to come to Australia to practice and improve their skills for up to 2 years. With this visa, applicants will have the opportunity to improve their expertise and accumulate practical work experience in Australia to increase their chances of being recruited and settled later.
Benefits
• Be able to live and work in Australia while the visa is valid
• Multiple entries to Australia during the validity of the visa
• If eligible, applicants may apply to become Permanent Residents.
• Can be accompanied by spouse and children under 18 years old.
• The total time the applicant can legally stay and work in Australia is 4 years. After 2 years of studying and training with the 407 visa, the applicant will be supported to find a job and apply for a 482 visa to legally work in Australia for another 2 years.
Requirements
• Male/Female, 18 years of age or older
• High school graduated
• Basic English communication
• IELTS 4.5 / PTE 30
• Have experience and qualifications related to the training field
• Must have a clean record, no criminal record and meet security and health requirements.
• Need to do physical examination at health facilities designated by the Australian Department of Home Affairs

• Complete a Chef or Head Chef training certificate according to Australian education standards.
• Have 12 months of experience within the last 1 year.
• Have a PTE 36 certificate and must attend an English course and test within 3 months of arriving in Australia.
** Can convert from 462 visa and must have 1 year experience certificate

• Completed a 24-month course within the last 12-24 months.
